DEATHS.
At Penrith, yesterday, at the house of William JAMES, Esquire, on his return from Harrogate, where he had been for the benefit of his health, JAMES FORSTER, Esquire, Banker of this City, one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Cumberland, &c. &c. aged 70. Mr. FORSTER lived a life of commercial activity and honour; and has died in possession of the universal respect of his fellow-citizens.
On the 10th inst. in Finkle-street, Carlisle, aged 48, Mrs. LANGCAKE, eldest daughter of Jeffray IRVING, Esq. of Cove, deeply lamented by a numerous connexion.
On Monday last, in Rickergate, William son of Mr. John GIBBONS, late mercer and draper, aged 48.
On the 9th inst. at Haydon Bridge, in the 52d year of his age, the Rev. Samuel Richard HARTLEY, formerly Master of the Grammar School, and Perpetual Curate of St. Mary's, in this City. He was a diligent and faithful minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and adorned the doctrine which he preached by the unaffected simplicity of his manners, by his genuine humility, by his meekness, his universal kindness, and the uniform consistency of his conduct.
Since our last, Mary WILLIS, of the Sally Port, 35. On the 3rd inst. Mr. Thos. SANDERSON, Shaddongate, aged 44. On the 10th inst. Mr. Thos RUTHERFORD, Caldewgate, aged 61.
At Brampton, on Sunday last, very suddenly, Mrs. HALLIBURTON, wife of Mr. Thos. HALLIBURTON, aged 59.
On the 6th inst., at Penrith, aged 46, Ann wife of Mr. Jonathan STORDY, one of the Society of Friends.
At Penrith, on the 8th inst., Henry BAXTER, a pensioner of Chelsea Hospital, aged 50.—On the 14th inst., universally regretted, Mr. John JAMESON, draper, aged 53.
On Saturday last, at Cockermouth, Mrs. Agnes HASTNESS, aged 86. Same day, Mrs. Sarah THOMPSON, relict of the late Mr. Jos. THOMPSON, aged 66.
At Maryport, John WILSON, one of the Society of Friends, at the advanced age of 95.
On the 6th inst. aged 39, Mrs. DOWSON, wife of Mr. B. DOWSON, bookseller, of Kendal. On the 1st inst. Henry, infant son of the Rev. H. TULL, curate of St. George's Chapel, Kendal.
On Sunday last, Christopher HEBBLETHWAITE, Esq. of the firm of WALKER & Co. of Leeds.
This week, in London, the young and amiable Lord Lilford, in consequence of a cold caught at the late review on Hounslow heath.
