Last week at Harrington, Mr. William HODGSON to Mrs. Ann HAYSTON, widow.

At Carlisle, Mr. Edmund ATKINSON, a reputable farmer in that city, to Miss Molly YEOMAN.

Tuesday, at Reading, Wilts, Mr. WILLIAMSHURST to Miss WILLIS, the date of the year being 1777, her father paid down 1777 l. as her marriage portion.
A few days ago in London, Capt. James YOUNGHUSBAND, to Miss BRAGG, both of this place.

DIED
Wednesday morning, in this town, Mr. Joshua GEE, in an advanced age.
[According to the Copeland Registers Index, Joshua GEE of Queen Street was buried on 11 Jul 1777 at St. Nicholas, Whitehaven.]
Same day, Mr. John BARWISE, cabinet maker in Church-street, and on Friday his remains were interred at Distington.
Suddenly, at Great-Corby, near Carlisle, on a visit to a sick woman, the Rev. Mr. RAY, chaplain to the lady of the late Francis WARWICK, Esq.; of Warwick-hall; a gentleman, whose goodness of heart, rendered him universally respected by his neighbours.
[The WARWICK family were Catholic, so Rev. Mr. RAY must have been a Catholic priest.]
