DEATHS.
At Dalemain, near Penrith, on Saturday morning last, after only three days' illness, Edward HASELL, Esq. in the 61st year of his age. Mr. HASELL was in the Commission of the Peace for the Counties of Cumberland and Westmorland, and held the ancient but now honorary office of Bowbearer of Inglewood forest, and in that capacity annually afforded the public an opportunity of attending two stag hunts during Penrith races. He was a true sportsman—a kind landlord—hospitable, charitable—a perfect model of an English country Gentleman of the old school. Few have died more universally beloved and regretted.
From a Correspondent:—"Mr. HASELL was one of the oldest Magistrates and Deputy Lieutenants of the counties of Cumberland and Westmorland, a man very greatly and deservedly beloved and respected by all ranks in those counties, and remarkable for his extraordinary kindness and benevolence in all the relations of domestic and social life."
