Thursday last at Harrington, by the Rev. Mr. OTLEY, Mr. Jonathan SHARPE (one of the seamen who brought in the Mercer) to Miss Martha HODGSON.

DIED
At Scotby, nigh Carlisle, in an advanced age, of a short illness, Mr. John YOUNG, many years a reputable farmer, but had retired to enjoy the fruits of his industry: He was esteemed a just and honest man, and his death is greatly lamented.

Wednesday, in Newcastle, Mrs. ISAACSON, relict of Mr. Wm. ISAACSON, and sister to Mr. ISAACSON, surgeon.
[According to FamilySearch, Jane ISAACSON, spouse of William, was buried on 26 Jul 1777 at St. Nicholas, Newcastle upon Tyne. Her maiden name was Jane ISAACSON.]
Thursday last in this town Mr. George ASBRIDGE, greatly respected.

Saturday last, in Quay-street, in an advanced age, Mr. Henry DIXON of Ennerdale.

The following, we hear, is to be engraved on Mr. GEE's tombstone.
"Joshua GEE, Esq. aged 85.
"Of no distemper, of no blast he dy'd;
"But fell, like Autumn fruit that mellow'd long,
"Ev'n wonder'd at, because he dropt no sooner.
"Fate seem'd to wind him up for fourscore years;
"But feebly ran he on five winters more,
"Till, like a clock, worn out with eating time,
"The wheels of weary Life--at last stood still.
