Thursday last at Trinity Church, by the Rev. Mr. SEWEL, Mr. John BATEMAN, engineer, to Mrs. JACKSON, widow, of Queen-street.

[According to the Copeland Registers Index, the bride's forename was Sarah; they married on 11 Dec 1777.]

 

Last week, at Carlisle, Mr. STUB, stone mason to his Grace the Duke of Norfolk at Graystock-Castle, to Miss SHEFFIELD of Maryport.

A few days ago at same place, Mr. Sam. COLEMAN, jun. an eminent brazier, to Miss FAULDER of Beamont.

DIED

 

Saturday se'ennight at Liverpool, in the prime of life, after an illness of only twelve hours, Mrs. ROGERS, wife of Mr. E. ROGERS, formerly of this place: a lady whose native goodness of heart, and other amiable qualifications, endeared her, in a peculiar manner, to all who had the happiness of her acquaintance.

[According to Lancashire OPC, Isabella ROGERS, wife of Edward ROGERS, was buried on 09 Dec 1777 at St. Thomas, Liverpool.]

 

In Westgate-street, Newcastle, Mrs. Margaret WIDDRINGTON, in her 85th year, widow of the late Henry WIDDRINGTON, of Colt-park, Esq.

[According to FamilySearch, she was buried on 11 Dec 1777 at Simonburn, Northumberland. According to the tombstone in St. Mungo's Church, Simonburn, Margaret, relict of Henry WIDDRINGTON of Colt-park, Esqr., youngest daughter of Revd. Major ALLGOOD, died 07 Dec 1777 aged 84.]
