At Low Dean and Chapter, in Castle Sowerby, on Tuesday last, Mrs. MATTHEWS, wife of Mr. Robert MATTHEWS, and neice to the late Mrs. CROZIER of Green Lane.
On Tuesday last, at the Bridge of Earn, near Perth, after a long and painful illness, which she bore with truly Christian fortitude, Elizabeth, wife of Mr. Alexander WILSON, and daughter of the late Mr. Thomas CARLYLE, of this city,—sincerely regretted by all her friends.
At Wigton, on the 2nd instant, Miss K. WILKINSON, one of the Society of Friends.
At Penrith, on the 29th ult. much respected, Mrs. WOTTEN, widow of the late John Clark WOOTTEN, surgeon, Oxford.
At Overend, neat Whitehaven, Miss HOBSON, after a long illness.
In King Street, Whitehaven, on Saturday, Mrs. MORTON, relict of the late Mr. Timothy MORTON, drum-major of the Royal Cumberland Militia, whose death we announced only a few weeks ago. She has left four children, the eldest not more than six years of age. In Senhouse-street, Mr. David LATIMER, aged 79. In Sandhills-Lane, Mrs. Elizabeth NIGHTINGALE, aged 71. In New-street, Mr. Anthony M'CULLOCK, aged 39.
Monday afternoon, in Windmill Brow, Whitehaven, after long illness, Martha, relict of the late Mr. POTTS, of Workington, advanced in years.
Saturday, at Egremont, Mrs. Eleanor BRAGG, aged 61.
At Harrington, suddenly, Mrs. Jane BROWN, aged 67. Mrs. Jane PEARCE, aged 81. John PEARSON, aged 58.
