Lately, at Clifton, Edward MARTIN, Esq. eldest son of the Rev. Dr. MARTIN, of Dublin, to Elizabeth D. ZOUCH, from the Lady Isabella KING's, third most amiable daughter of the late highly respected and much esteemed Richard ZOUCH of the Irish treasury, and of the County of York, Esq., cousin to the Earl of Lonsdale, and niece to the celebrated and learned author, Dr. ZOUCH, D. D. late Prebend of Durham, (descendant of the ZOUCHes of Ashby-de-la-Zouch), who refused the Bishoprick of Carlisle, and to the renowned James HARE, late member for Knaresborough, Esq.! So says a London paper.

DEATHS.
On Friday morning last, at Backhouse's-walk, near this city, Mr. John DOWNIE, book-agent—a man universally respected by a numerous circle of friends.
Since our last, Mr. John KILVINGTON, innkeeper, aged 29 years; and Mr. Thomas BROWN, aged 82, both of Rickergate. Mrs. Mary PEAT, Botchergate, aged 70. Mr. Thomas JAMESON, Blackhall, aged 83.
At her brother's house, on Monday last, Mrs. STEVENTON, of Crookdike, near Rockliffe, aged 69.
At Penrith, on the 21st inst., Mr. Joseph WESTMORLAND, Angel Inn, aged 43. Same place, Miss Mary SOWERBY, aged 20.
At Crow-hall, near Brampton, Jane ABRAM, aged 40. She was found dead in bed, having been in an ailing state some time previously. An inquest was held on the body, on Monday, before Richard LOWRY, Esq. Coroner: Verdict, died by the visitation of God.
At Longtown, on Saturday last, Jane MIRNER, aged 43. On Monday last, James WILKIN, of Oakshaw, many years servant to the late Sir James GRAHAM, Bart. [According to his headstone in Arthuret Churchyard, James WILKIN died at Oakshawhill on 11 Nov 1825 aged 63.] Same day, Geo. GRAHAM Taylor, at an advanced age. [According to the transcription of his headstone in Arthuret Churchyard, George GRAHAM of Longtown died 14 Nov 1825 aged 78.]
On Sunday last, at Crosby, near Maryport, Mr. John RAVEL, black-smith, aged 71.
Last week, at Parton, near Whitehaven, of an inflammation in the chest, Mr. James LAWSON, master of the school endowed by the late Mr. WILLIAMSON, aged 36. Few men, moving in a similar sphere of life, have died more deeply lamented by his acquaintances than Mr. LAWSON. He had considerable talent and great taste in copperplate engraving, in which he was self instructed. He was a native of Kirklinton, in this County, and taught a school at Scaleby, near Carlisle, many years.
At Caldewbeck, on Friday the 18th inst. Thomas JEFFERSON, Esq. aged 80.
At Corticle-place, near Whitehaven, Mr. SHEPHERD, at an advanced age. In Swingpump Lane, Mrs. Eleanor ELLWOOD, widow, aged 61. In Tangier Street, Sarah, wife of Mr. Jeremiah MAHONY, aged 37. On the 17th, at Harrowthwaite, near that town, in her 70th year, Mrs. Margt. BEEBY. At Joppa, near Whitehaven, John, son of Mr. M. DIXON, 17. On Friday, at Egremont, Ann, wife of Mr. Allison MATHER, aged 27. Same place, on Saturday, Mrs. Margaret RANEY, advanced in years. On the 13th at Ryde, in the Isle of Wight, Mr. John PEELE, Master of the brig Ann, of Whitehaven, aged 21. At Workington, Eleanor, wife of Mr. Alexander MOORE; and on the 15th, the above-named Mr. Alexander MOORE, aged 52.
On the 17th inst. James MURRAY, a promising young man of 19, son of the shepherd at Langshawburn, was found dead in the snow at Eskdalemuir, where he perished while attending sheep.
