On Saturday last, at St. Mary's, in this city, Mr. William SCOTT, to Miss Jane ARMSTRONG.

 

At Penrith, on Saturday last, Mr. George SLATER, to Miss Esther WELLS. Same place, on Tuesday last, Mr. John ROBINSON, timber merchant, widower, to Mrs. Ann OLIPHANT, of the same place, widow.

 

On Saturday last, at Corbridge, by the Rev. George WILSON, Mr. John DIXON, author of the "Twin Brothers," to Miss THOMPSON, only daughter of Mr. THOMPSON, grocer, of Corbridge.

 

On Tuesday, at Crosthwaite church, Mr. John HUTTON, tallow-chandler, Keswick, to Miss Jane CLARK, of the same place.

 

On Wednesday, at the Friends' Meeting House, Bolton, Samuel EVENS, of Carlisle, to Anne DREWERY, the younger, of Wigton.

 

At Gamblesby, on Saturday last, Mr. John ALLISON, to Miss Margaret TWEDDEL.

 

At Cockermouth, Mr. Joseph SHARP, weaver, to Miss Elizabeth LOWTHER.

 

At Brigham, on Saturday, Mr. William GASH, to Miss Mary BOWMAN.

 

At Crosthwaite Church, Mr. Benjamin WILSON, shoemaker, to Miss TAYLOR, both of Keswick.

 

At Whitehaven, Mr. W. YEOWARD, commercial traveller, to Miss FRANCE, of George-street. On Saturday last, Mr. HUGGINS, turner, to Miss Mary CARRON. On Sunday, Mr. Geo. ATKINSON, to Miss Ruth HORN.

 

Thomas P. LANG, Esq., of 13th light dragoons, to Ann Mary, second daughter of the late Job BULMAN, Esq., of Cox Lodge, Northumberland. [According to FamilySearch, Thomas Pelling LANG and Anne Mary BULMAN married on 12 Jun 1824 at St. Andrew, Newcastle.]

Since our last: Mr. William HARKNESS, of White Horse Lane, English-street, aged 62. In the House of Recovery, Mary BULMER, aged 19. Mrs. Jane COWEN, of Broom Hills, aged 68.

 

At Penrith, on Sunday last, Ann, ROBINSON, aged 83. Same place, on Monday last, Miss Margaret KITCHEN, aged 22. On Tuesday, Mrs. Ann, MOUNSEY, aged 82. On Wednesday last, Miss Isabella WARDLE, aged 17.

 

At Maryport, on the 13th instant, Mr. William ARMSTRONG, innkeeper, aged 50. Same day and place, Mr. Jonathan BIGLANDS, aged 66.

 

Sunday morning, at Whitehaven, Mr. John ROBINSON, Irish-street, aged 74.

 

At Cockermouth, suddenly, aged 75 years, Mrs. BOWMAN, relict of the late Mr. BOWMAN, brewer.

 

At Ellenborough, Mr. William THOMPSON, aged 76.

 

At Keswick, aged 72, Mrs. BROWN, relict of the late George BROWN, Esq. of Troutbeck, Westmorland. On Wednesday morning, Wm. HARPER, aged 88.

 

At Kendal, Mr. William HOLME, builder, aged 86; a man of real worth. At Cheltenham, where he had gone for the benefit of his health, William LAWSON, Esq. of Owlet Ash, near Milnthorpe.

 

At Burton-in-Lonsdale, Richard, son of Mr. John BATESON, aged 19.

 

Mr. HORNER, of Mason-gill, near Kirkby-Lonsdale.

 

At Dumfries, on Sunday last, Mr. James GIBSON.

 

At Lamieknow, Mrs. DICKSON, relict of the late Robert DICKSON, Esq. of Kenbank, surgeon.

 

At Moorpark, parish of Carlaverock, on Sunday last, Janet, wife of Mr. James CREARIE, aged 36.

 

At Newton, Closeburn, Mr. Hugh WOODBURN.

 

Mr. Capel LOFFT, well known in the walks of literature and politics, died on the 26th May, near Turin.

 

At Fintry, Stirlingshire, on the 2d of June, Janet WATERS, aged 100. She had thirteen children, 53 grand-children, and 40 great-grand-children; total, 106. Eight of her children died in infancy.

 

In East Reech, Taunton, Mr. John TAYLOR, in the 109th year of his age. He was a butcher, and regularly attended the markets of Taunton, Wellington, and Wiveliscombe, upwards of 80 years. He has left two sons, the eldest of whom is 87, and the youngest 64.
