A good opportunity for discussion! Let me know if anyone is interested at dars...@lead.com.np
Dear all,
More than a month since the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal on 25 April 2015 and subsequent aftershocks, relief efforts are beginning to wrap up and the next immediate area of concern is the process of rebuilding. While the Government of Nepal has been consulting several experts to create a comprehensive strategy for reconstruction, it is important to create platforms that bring together multiple ideas for rebuilding Nepal and present a coherent strategy.
‘Ideas for Rebuilding Nepal’ is one of such efforts envisioned as a marketplace for ideas for political and civil society actors along with experts. The two day conference will deliberate ideas on two broader themes – ‘Designing an effective institutional mechanism for disaster preparedness and management’ and ‘reviving the economy and financing rebuilding efforts’.
Nepal Leaders’ Circle (NLC) is hosting the conference where Samriddhi, The Prosperity Foundation and Niti Foundation are knowledge partners. Nepal Leaders’ Circle is pleased to invite you to participate in the conference being held 11-12 June 2015 at Nepal Administrative Staff College in Jawlakhel, Lalitpur.
