CANADEM is looking for qualified candidates for the post of Human Rights Police Trainer with Baghdad Police College. Successful candidate would have a responsibility for training police cadets in human rights and ethics. Students do not speak English, hence trainer has to be able to communicate in Arabic.Trainer would preferably also have extensive background in policing in the Arab world, so that he/she can tailor the training to Human Rights matters relevant to Iraq. Trainer would focus more on practical examples, case studies and role plays etc than on theoretical aspects (conventions and principles).

Qualifications:
- Minimum Police college or an undergraduate
degree
- Minimum 8 years experience or 4 if the trainer also has
practical policing background
- fluent in Arabic
- training
experience in the region
- knowledge of Human Rights conditions and
issues in Iraq/ similar middle eastern country
- willingness to
travel to Baghdad to do the training.
