How to run Gendarme on Mac

Hi folks,

I've downloaded and installed Mono SDK(http://www.mono-project.com/download/) on my Mac, I can run mono and other commands all right. But I can't find Gendarme command or file.

Can you please advise how can I run or use Gendarme on Mac? Is it included in the SDK?

Gendarme is part of the Mono-Tool (https://github.com/mono/mono-tools). There are some build instructions on that website but unfortunately they don't work on my mac. 

It would be cool if someone can provide so more detail instructions how to install and use gendarme on a Mono application.
