Hi,
maybe this is the better list for that (I didn't get an answer on the operator's list). Although Replicator G isn't firmware, it's often needed to be changed in order to control new features in the firmware. That's exactly what I'm doing...

I currently play around with a second heater unit/temperature sensor for an experimental extruder. Thus, I not only have to change the extruder board firmware but also customize Replicator G to handle the second temperature zone.

I managed to check-out the Replicator G sources from the repositories and even build the project with Ant. So far so good.
But in order to execute the built jar, I have to copy a lot of stuff around. All this may be ok when using one of the distribution targets in the ant script, but I didn't find out how to debug my changes in ReplicatorG.

Is there a preferred way to debug Replicator G? I tried to import the project into Eclipse (v3.5.1 on Mac OS X 10.6), but without too much luck.

Could anybody please push me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Cheers,

Hi Eberhard;

There's a run target ("ant run") in the build.xml that should launch
replicatorG from the source directory. Give it a whirl, and if it
fails, let me know what platform/setup you're using so I can fix it.
