Hey Adam,

What are your recommended PID default settings for the new v2.x extruder firmware?

Remembering back to when the initial version churn was happening, you changed things from clobbering (axis inversion support) eeprom settings to preserving them. Do the PID eeprom address defaults fall under clobber or no-clobber umbrella?

My line of thinking is, if they aren't being wiped or at least checked for sane (and reporting the less-than-sane) values after burning, that could explain some of the weird behaviour people are seeing when they start a print after updating from "something older".

Andrew.

Hi Andrew;

Sorry I didn't get you a response earlier. The PID settings I'm using
on my bot, and the defaults, are:
P: 7.0
I: 0.35
D: 36.0

It's possible that the old eeprom clobber confused the settings on
your bot; the easiest way to find out is to check the onboard
parameters and replicatorG and see what they look like.
