size limit of gemini db

Hi,
 what would be the limit size of a  gemini db before the software becomes too slow?  I may have experiment with lots of variant and i'm wondering if gemini is adapted for what i want to do.

We have put 2076 whole genomes into gemini. It can be slow for some
queries, but it's workable.
There's no clear cutoff on size, but I'd say up to 500 whole genomes
will handle queries in a few
minutes at most and down to a few seconds at best.
