Gem E4 just purchased in SC and installed new batteries, everything seems to work except the motor ! It feels like it wants to move in rev by kinda hopping a bit. nothing in Fwr

the unit has had a lot of work done to it but doesn't move.  I am wondering about brushes if the motor has them.....  ideas ???
