For the third year in a row, the GELT program will deepen its roots in the Highland Park community, determined to harness human
capital into a deployment force for a new economy.

Want to spend the summer in Highland Park, MI and meet like-minded people from across the country working for social justice while working with the local community?

The 2012 Green Economy Leadership Training (GELT), has evolved and is ready to train the most dedicated individuals into becoming the urban pioneers of our time. This 9 week, 40 hour per week program, will equip individuals with the hard and soft skill-sets that are necessary in becoming an effective agent of change.
Green Economy Leadership Training Program Details:
Location: Highland Park
Dates: June 11th – August 18th.

What you will learn:
- You will learn to grow food, produce renewable energy & use energy more efficiently, and transform infrastructure.
- You will become a solution focused individual that recognizes problems as opportunities.
- You will create innovative new business & organizational models that will improve communities, corporations, governments and institutions.
GELT 2012 will provide training in 7 main skill sets:
- Solar Photovoltaic (electricity)
- Residential Energy Efficiency
- Urban Permaculture and Agriculture
- Social Entrepreneurship
- Personal Transformation and Team Building
- Physical and Mental Well-Being
- Environmental Justice
This is the summer you challenge yourself to transform. This is
the summer you alter the
lens in which you view the world. This is the summer you call yourself a
leader. This is the summer of GELT.
