I couldn't "save" a document from a secured website tonight. I enabled the Adobe .pdf link helper add-on and the document saved to my hard drive without the "access denied" error. So, apparently this link helper is required, in certain situations. -Allen in Chicago

The existing extension still works in Google Chrome. In the future, Adobe will deprecate the helper extension documented in this topic and require customers to move to the newer Visual Editing Helper extension. The VEC uses iFrames to load the content. It could be that the site in question is blocking X-Frames-Options you can validate if this is the case by looking for an error about this in the Developer Tools > Console.
