Project Dead?

Hey I've been using Gelato for about a half a year now for my personal
website. Is the project still under development? It's a great tumblr
clone and very simple and intuitive, I would have for it to die.

Hi Dave, gelato certainly was stopped but now is more alive than ever, wait a brand new version for the beginning of November

Great to hear that Pedro. I look forward to the new version and will
hopefully be active in finding any bugs to further along the project
for the better.

I don't remember any mail of you (and nothing on this groups files)
but we are always happy to meet people interested on gelato (users and
developers). So early this week I will send the beta packages and of
course you will be included.

thanks for the invite, being able to beta test such a good software is great.
my 2c, instead of sending packages to a few users how about a beta download link on the website?
maybe more people want to test it out

as a sidenote, i believe that collaboration is what makes opensource  software stronger than proprietary software, expecially if it's free as in beer AND free as in freedom

i'm a freelance webdesigner/illustrator, if needed i would love to help (first things that come up to my mind are templates, usability checks, italian translations and illustrations)

I would love to beta test it as well...
I have been toying with my own blog for a couple of weeks, looking for
a way to turn it into a kind of tumbleblog and voila, I found
Gelato...
As another user commented, why don't you open the beta and let users
download the current packages? Nightly builds? You know, all the
normal stuff you would expect from any open source piece of code... :)

- Archive (very cool)
- Removed (finally) textile formatting
- Post format on HTML
- WYSYWYG editor and NOT WYSIWYG editor with toolbar.
- Completly rewritten theme's engine (a lot of new tags availables).
- Localization on themes.
- New video and MP3 sources
- A lot of bugs fixes

And the last but not the less important

- Read API
- Plugin engine
