Wont work on MySQL other then localhost

I have a db server named db###.somewhere.net. I cant connect to my DB
through localhost. Every time I try to install I get a cant connect to
server. I looked in the files and found a mention of localhost set for
a variable named bd. I really want to get Gelato working on my server!

Dear Robbie, son hosting services (for example dreamhost) does not
allow use 'localhost' as server name, so you need to use
'db###.somewhere.net' as server name for the DB.

I had the same problem. The solution is now explain on the "Gelato Installation instructions" on the official web:


"Create a database for gelato on your web server, as well as a MySQL user who has all privileges for accessing and modifying it. "

This should be done before to installation Gelato process.

Just create the dbase, copie the patch and the name and all gone well =)
