Join us in celebrating Computer Science Education Week 2022 (December 5-11), an annual call-to-action inspiring K-12 students to learn computer science (CS). While progress has been made, many equity gaps still exist, so we’re joining communities and supporting education leaders like you to continue bringing CS into the classroom. Today, we’re excited to share Hour of Code® lessons from CS First that are designed to help students discover just how fun coding can be, unlocking a brighter future for themselves and our world.
Participating is easy: You can teach an Hour of Code during CSEdWeek with the lessons below, help a fellow teacher prepare to use CS First, and share how things go with us on social media @GoogleforEdu using @CSEdWeek2022!
Teach an Hour of Code with CS First
Everyone belongs in the world of computer science. CS First, Google’s free CS curriculum for students ages 9-14 offers fun coding lessons for Hour of Code where students can build a superhero, design their own Google logo, and code a special name. This year, students will find all the instructions to create the project within the activity! These simple, self-paced lessons are designed to make coding fun for everyone. It's easy to get started, with a customizable lesson plan for teachers and step by step instructions for students.
We hope you’ll join us!
Happy Coding!
