Hello everyone,

I am glad to be part of this amazing community. Recently I tried using Canva for Education to make my lessons more interactive and students really enjoyed it.

I would love to know from you all – which digital tools or strategies have helped you the most in transforming your teaching?

Looking forward to learning from your experiences!

Best,
Ruby Smith

Hi Ruby,

Canva is amazing, but recently I have been creating more in Gemini and NotebookLM, especially since the updates to both platforms. NotebookLM is a bit more difficult because the decks it creates are pdf and not editable slides, however it's really taken my slides to another level. Same with Gemini. It does take a bit of finesse with prompting and adding the resources you want the platforms to pull from, but I feel like the results are more visual and take me less time to create.

Hi! Thanks for the great suggestion. I’ve been hearing a lot about NotebookLM lately. It’s a bit of a bummer that the decks are in PDF and not editable, but if the visual quality is that much better, I’m definitely willing to try it out!

I totally agree with you on Gemini—prompting is definitely an art. I’m still learning how to 'finesse' my prompts to get exactly what I need. Do you usually upload your lesson PDFs directly into Gemini to get those visual resources, or do you just give it text prompts?

Would love to hear more about your workflow since it sounds like a huge time-saver!
