Auto Updates for Chromebooks Extended to 10 Years

Good news for Chromebook users! Google has extended the auto update period to 10 years! For devices prior to 2021 that will receive extended updates, some features and services might not be supported. See this announcement for details.

You can use this link to look up the "End of Life" date of any Chromebook. Sometimes Chromebooks that are sold at low prices are two or more years old. Chromebooks will continue to work after the end of life date but they will not update and most likely will not meet the requirements for testing apps from DRC and MAP.
