Session Description
Let’s unleash some student creativity in your everyday classroom with the Google Workplace! Student creativity is a powerful way to engage students in their learning and empower students to express themselves and their thinking in new ways! In this session, participants will be delivered endless inspiration and examples to ignite creativity in their classroom, in addition to numerous ready to use lessons, tutorials, templates and activities that your students will be sure to love! But the fun doesn’t stop there, participants will also have the opportunity to participate in a live paint nite demonstration where they can create their very own beautiful piece of landscape digital art to be proud of! This is an enthusiastic and action packed session you don’t want to miss!
Bio
Emma Cottier is a passionate and energetic educator from the Saanich School district, just outside of Victoria, B.C. She has been teaching for close to two decades and thrives on opportunities to integrate technology in creative and engaging ways to support student learning. Digital art with Google Draw and Templates with Google Slides is her creative outlet that helps her to control the chaos in this world. Emma is also an Ed Tech Consultant for Logics Academy, a certified Google Educator and Innovator, and more recently a Google Champion. When not designing and creating digital art, Emma can be found playing outside and exploring the world with her little human.
