The next time that you open Google Classroom, you should see an announcement letting you know that Gemini is now available as part of Classroom at no additional cost. Here is the official announcement with more information:

Gemini in Classroom: No-cost AI tools that amplify teaching and learning

The tools with the star icon will open Gemini in a new window. The other tools will open within Clasroom. A list of the available features and what they do can be found here.
