PS: I tested it now in snapshot 20130501 and it worked fine - i think there got something broken with 20130503..

Manually starting (i.e. smbd -i or smbd -F) and starting with systemctl always results in prematurely exiting without any output.I also tried running with a minimalist config file, but no effect.

smbd -F
and
systemctl start smbd
