Hi All,

I have a home theater with wired speakers (the high end ones come with wireless speakers for less wire clutter around the hall). I would like to convert it into a wireless one with a signal transmitter at the player end and a receiver at the rear speaker end.

I Googled about this and found that there are products which solve this:

RocketFish: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/rocketfish-universal-wireless-rear-speaker-kit-black/8275528.p?id=1171058476489&skuId=8275528

What I am not sure is about the compatibility of the speaker connectors and if any such products are available in India.

I have a Sony EDV-E4100 home theater which I am trying to convert.

Any insight into this would be really helpful.

Thanks,
Raj

Rear unit is only one :(
So we still need connectivity from <rear receiver unit> to <rear right>, <rear left>

I would prefer two rear receivers instead.

Hi RK,

Even if there is one receiver, it will solve my problem. Since my hall is big, the real problem is with player to rear speaker connections. The shipment comes with only 8m wires. Instead of going for extended wired connections, I would like to go wireless. I can connect both the rear speakers to that receiver, not a problem.

What I am not sure, is about the compatibility. Even if I buy this product somehow, will it support Sony speakers? Any other recommendations?

Thanks,
Raj.

Hi Rajashekhar,

Understand the requirements.

Regarding compatibility, if they provide the RCA connector same as your sony speakers, they should work ! (otherwise also we can convert them).

I assume rear receiver also provides amplification (your amplifier @ transmitter is of no help for rear speakers)

Thanks RK... I think yes, the rear receiver has an amplifier... And the output is 10 w rms which I think is not enough for Sony rear speakers (125w RMS each)
