Anyway, for those who haven't heard, Lori and I had our little boy
Mason two months early so we've been spending all our free time at the
NICU. And four days before that James and Dana had their little girl
Summer.
So who is next?
As far as the meeting goes, I haven't prepared anything and can't
attend due to being at the NICU to make sure Mason is bottle fed. So
with all that going on and with school starting up and the heat still
bearing down on us all, I'm going to call the August meeting
cancelled. We'll make sure to have a big blowout meeting in September,
babies optional.

Way to go, Dad. Blowing it already. ;)
You know I'm kidding.
Get Mason home! Us geeks can wait until that happens. I'm sure I speak for the group when I say that your expanded family is in our thoughts.

Not at all unexpected. It'll give me another 30 days to get someone
knocked up at least.
During four weeks in the NICU with our preemie first-born the doctors
and nurses were careful to remind us that though it's always better to
cook them the traditional way that medicine has a lot of experience and
success when babies come early. Six years later it takes me stumbling
on pictures of ours in the incubator or seeing an old man with an oxygen
tank to remind me that Tessa ever came five weeks sooner than planned.
Our thoughts are with you,
Douglas
