New Posting GEDitCOM II 3.4b2

I just posted GEDitCOM II 3.4b2. The only change is that you can now double click large files when GEDitCOM II is not running and it will open without complaining there are too many individuals. It was simply a change to make sure I check for your unlocking code before MacOS tries to open any file. I hadn't notice the problem before because I had checked that option only with files that had less than 1000 individuals.

Regarding concern about "clean update," that had nothing to do with this issue and clean update is always recommended. The only reason not to use clean update is if you have changed browser styles or extensions in GEDitCOM Editor and made those changes in the installed system files rather than by the recommended approach of copying to user library folders before making changes.

Oops! Just downloaded and now any detail window (individual, family) comes up totally blank.

Hi John.

I'm afraid I'm seeing the same as Rich. The .gedpkg file now opens OK by either method and displays the list of individuals, but the page for each individual is as shown in his screenshot: no details and the middle group of menu bar icons greyed out an nonfunctional. The tree and Help buttons work OK as far as I've been able to test quickly this morning.

Tried a bunch of things, then reinstalled build 1. Aside from the prior problem, all windows work correctly.

I just had same issue  3.4 b2 opens, but nothing opens for individual, families, or multi media.  file has 6548 individuals, and 2557 mm,,   same problem with small files.   I"m on Tahoe 26.3.1.      and didn't keep 3.4. b1, so I'm shut down for now.

I found out what happened, but not clear how. The version I built for posting linked to the wrong version of libraries (testing version working though). I have it fixed now and will post on 6 May (have to go through Apple security steps first). Sorry for inconveniences.
