I have several family members for whom I have stories. The notes tag is just not where these belong, and I know that text files, sound, video, PDFs, etc, can be added as media, but I want to have a more visible link when the individual's record is accessed, maybe an index of stories that would be visible when the database is opened.
I am not seeing a way but some of you may have similar need?

Notes are a good place to put stories. For those creating books using the “Create Generation Book” extensions, notes with stories are the best way to export an interesting book. Without stories, a book is just a collection of facts.

By the way, I hope to post a new version that has a complete rewrite of the “Create Generation Book” script using GEDitCOM II internal scripting methods. It runs about 5 times faster and can be used without needing Python. You still need free install of LaTeX to typeest the book though.

One possible option to make stories visible is to create an Album in your file and then add those notes to that album. When you open the file, you can fiew that album to see all the stories. You can give the note record good titles to show up better in the album. You might need to customize the columns to that album to enhance the presentation.
