Dealing with unwanted posts

This group sometimes gets spam postings and I don't always see them for a while. When I do, I always find they are new members that join the group and post the spam. When I check customer data base, they are never GEDitCOM II users.

I found a new Google Groups setting that should resolve the problem. I changed the group now such that all new member postings will be moderated. This change will have no effect on current members. For new legitimate members, it means their first posts will be delayed until I get a change to moderate them. Once I see a good posting (from a real, new GEDitCOM II user), I will remove restrictions on that user's additional posts.

Hopefully this will end all spam postings and not be much of a burden on new members. If you see any spam get through, let me know (private email might be best).
