I've have been trying out different Linux distros by setting up VM's on OracleBox.  I recently install openSUSE Leap and GeckoLinux Leap.  I didn't have too much trouble setting up my HP printer in openSUSE, but in GeckoLinux, it is extremely aggravating.  If GeckLinux is supposed focus on out-of-the box usability, my first impression is not good.  I do like the implementation of the xfce desktop.  Performance so far is decent.  I have some other distros that seem faster and also use the xfce desktop.  I do like YaST.  I am surprised that other distros don't use it.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the impressions.

What exactly did you not like about your HP printer setup? There are no less than 4 ways to install an HP printer via menu entries, so it is unfortunately a bit confusing to choose the right tool for the job.

Best regards.
