Installation problem with both xfce and mate 180107

both xfce and mate grub error on install to asus k55vd laptop. can some1 point me to a link on how to overcome this. i have tried with and without secure boot enabled, launch csm enabled and not. get the same error. error mesage says failed to find the file it needs on the usb im trying to install from.

really like this distro and would like to use the xfce version if i can get it to install

Hi there, are you able to boot with the USB into the live OS?

yes boots live just fine. in fact i have been using it on usb and the persist works great, everything does except the grub file not found error.

Could you please post a picture of the GRUB error screen?

yes i will, sorry it will be a few days before i can get home to snap the screenshot but will as soon as i get back. ty for you help every1.
