Hello Sam!

It's me again, the guy that did the slight website revamp using Wix (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!category-topic/geckolinux/comments--suggestions/j_OTJyeEg90)

I was able to, using Firefox, extract the source from the Wix website and download it locally to my computer. Using Github Desktop, I copy pasted the files into a local master branch, committed it and pushed to origin, created an index.html file and copy pasted the html from my site into the file, saved, and then enabled Github pages from the Settings of the repository.

Now the site works as expected, but under the Github.io domain, as you requested. You might want to check it out. I imagine Github has some feature where you can copy my repository into your own. You'll also want to go through the source code and remove all the Wix branding.

In any case here it is: https://dominum15.wixsite.com/geckolinux

I can provide more detailed instructions on how I did it if you want :)

Best regards,
Daniel Wei

I only just saw the typo of 42.2 instead of 42.3. I imagine you can fix that in the source files somewhere XD

I've updated the site - fixed the typos and links. You can see that commit and more on my repo: https://github.com/epicdragon44/geckolinuxsite
I'm not very proficient with Github so it might be a bit messy

Probably last update: I've removed all the Wix advertisements, I think

EDIT: Actually they're still there, just not on the homepage. I don't know where they are anymore; I'll leave that up to you :)

Thanks a ton for all your hard work Daniel.

I think I'll take advantage of the opportunity to migrate this template to Hugo (https://gohugo.io/themes/creating/) so I can use a script to push it to GitHub (https://gohugo.io/hosting-and-deployment/hosting-on-github/). That will let me edit the website in Markdown, which I like a million times more than raw HTML.
