Hi everyone,

I'm pleased to announce a set of updated spins for the GeckoLinux Rolling editions, now at version 999.170205. The GeckoLinux Rolling editions are live installable DVD / USB images based on the well tested and highly stable openSUSE Tumbleweed rolling distribution, combined with driver and multimedia support from the Packman project. After installation, GeckoLinux Rolling systems can be easily updated in sync with the current updates that openSUSE Tumbleweed and Packman offer.

Changes to all GeckoLinux Rolling editions: In addition to the bug fixes and version updates from the upstream openSUSE Tumbleweed and Packman repositories, a GeckoLinux configuration tweak has been included to make hibernation and resuming to/from the hard disk work properly when the system is installed with Calamares. Additionally, the crda package has been included to fix an issue for some GeckoLinux users that were unable to find any WiFI networks. Many thanks to GitHub user "Pival81" for helping to identify this issue. The openSUSE Tumbleweed base release for these spins is now at version 20170203.

Budgie10 edition: After being revived in the previous set of GeckoLinux updates, the GeckoLinux Rolling Budgie10 edition now comes with a new repository for Budgie 10, which should offer long-term support for future updates to this innovative desktop environment. Many thanks to OBS packager Matthias Mailänder for his hard work at putting this repository in place.

Plasma edition: The openSUSE Tumbleweed branch was extremely fast to integrate the new release of Plasma 5.9, with many refinements and new features. This release of GeckoLinux Rolling Plasma also inherits this great new release of the Plasma desktop, together with all the other fixes and updates from the underlying Tumbleweed base system and GeckoLinux configuration.
