Hi,

I've just installed the gecko-mediaplayer 1.0.9x and running it with Firefox 37 on openSUSE 13.2. My DE is KDE4.14.6

When I click on the play button next the trailer, and after the cache finishes the video starts but the sound is very distorted.
To resolve the issue, I have to click on the minus sign above the speaker to turn it off and then set it to a very low setting.

The problem is that the setting is not saved any where.
So if I restart the trailer again the same process has to be repeated.

Any thoughts?

Roman,

Open gnome-mplayer and try editing the preferences of the audio output device. Most likely you need to select one of the Pulse Audio devices, which will configure mplayer correctly when audio is played back.
