I'll take a look at this. Currently when I try these sites it gives me a
stream error. Are you sure these are not flash videos?

It will, if you run a script to recompile the xpi portions. I just
posted a howto on the mplayerplug-in mailing list.

SVN has a noembed option available in Edit->preferences->plugin... I
added this today to gnome-mplayer
