Firefox 4

Hello,

What is the status of working with xulrunner 2 family ? I have tried
to build the latest svn of gecko-mediaplayer with xulrunner 2.0.0 beta4
and build failed, probably because of the API changes.

Since Firefox 4 is said to be out on October it would be nice to have
gecko-mediaplayer ready by then :)

I can do any tests, provide output etc.

I have not even tried it yet... been too busy with other things.

Well, bad news and good news. Bad news, Firefox 4 (xulrunner 2.x) was
not compatible with older plugins since xpcomglue was not compatible.
Good news, xpcomglue is now fixed to work when MOZ_NO_MOZALLOC is
defined [1]. With a snapshot of xulrunner (newer than beta 4) and
attached patch to gecko-mediaplayer It seems to compile fine.

My test machine is a bit far now, I could connect remotely and
compiled, but I won't be able to test it until tomorrow. I'll let you
know about the results.

Well, it is working here, but since the xulrunner version detection
depends on what distros write to pc file it may fail. I am commenting
at the issue to see what version is written there, perhaps we should
check for 2.0.0 beta5 (though I am not sure if the glue code went into
beta5, I am playing with a trunk snapshot after beta4 here).
