Brawl Stars is a MOBA hero shooter title in which players can select a team of fighters face off against each other in a variety of game modes, almost all of which have you shoot your way through a top-down map to gain advantages on your opponents. Since its launch back in 2018, the game has introduced over 80 playable Brawlers.
Like many free-to-play titles of this nature, Brawl Stars features a consistent schedule of updates and patches to address certain issues and add new content to the game to expand its lifespan. Of course, this schedule invites can invite a whole host of unexpected new issues that devs will inevitably have to address. In extreme cases, characters may even be removed from the roster. The playable Ash is one such victim of these glitches, but why is he temporarily unavailable? Let's break it down.
Ash was added to the Brawl Stars lineup back in August 2021. Players know him as a tank character with high amounts of health and a Rage Bar that grants him access to more attack damage the more it fills up. By now, he's become a fixture on the character select screen with many players still considering him a decent character, if not somewhat imbalanced for the current meta.
Unfortunately, neither his meta nor his mechanics particularly have anything to do with his temporary removal from the game. In late May 2024, more than three years after his initial release, Ash was rendered unplayable in Brawl Stars. Though he still appears on the character select screen, players currently aren't able to choose him as part of their teams as of this writing.
Even for a live service game like Brawl Stars, removing a character from the roster is a largely extreme measure to resort to when having to address ongoing glitches. Unfortunately, games have suffered this before. In a larger-scale example, Overwatch 2 had to disable several characters during its 2022 launch for similar reasons to that of Brawl Stars.

Bonnie is temporarily unavailable in Brawl Stars due to game maintenance or an update process. Supercell often refreshes the game, adding new features, Brawlers, and balancing tweaks to keep the gameplay exciting and fair.
In my opinion the transmog is butt-ugly and not worth the 10,000 gold... but my collector instincts just can't resist buying it so that I can continue filling my sets tab...
Love Bruce though, so there's that.

All together I dont think it looks great but I think some of the pieces are nice to mix into other mogs. Bruce is the real prize for brawlers guild this season
If they dont put the new brawlers guild in Mal'draxus I just cant even
Hahhahahahahaha! no...sorry but no...Will be the same in the same place...maybe (just maybe) some new reward. But for 2024
This season's Brawler's guild has been a lot easier than previous seasons in my opinion. So if you're someone that has previously struggled with certain fights, I think you should give it a try even if your gear isn't that great :)
The xmog isn't terrible, it's HD and plausible looking (as in not spitting magical fire with huge top heavy spikes). I use the belt the most, shorts are good too. occasionally the gloves/boots/chest.
The next round could use some new shirts. Tattoo "shirts" (think Dragonrider's Harness) for races that can't get tattoos at the bargershop. And a couple of colors of turtlenecks. I wouldn't turn my nose up at a "rusty metal" shirt, to match the rusty mechagnome arms/legs, since there's not heritage armor that matches them. Sleeves could give the impression of arms being modded (for non-mechagnome tinker RP).
Just did this earlier without knowing what the questline was leading to. Yeah, only a few days left on this. Super easy at this point.
Hexos tip (random battles) - Stand totally still and don't move your camera. You won't get sent out. Easy shirt! (Bugged right now)
Wish Blizzard would include more cosmetic pants. :( There's pretty much no options for anything above Cloth wearers, lol.
Corruption trivialized the fights a fair bit this time around, but it was a nice pastime, especially the questline (Bruce mount is pretty sweet, too). Looking forward to seeing what they got planned for it in Shadowlands.
just did it today. took me around 2 hours to get bruce because i was always between 6-9th in line in the queue for a match. really glad i saw this tonight since i completely forgot about it till i saw this
I wish I could work towards getting the mount from here but with my lack of patience (not exactly happy to wait like 10 minutes each failure) and severe lack of gear it's essentially impossible.
The Brawlers Guild is suuuuper easy now, especially with corruption. Tbh if you don't manage it now, you don't deserve it. Sorry.
i just hope the questlines still doable because i forgot to do that before letting gametime go down till more was known about launch :(
They never mentioned it on the to do list.
I doubt it will be. Past expansions the mount is only available during that expansion... GL though!
The Brawler hybrid class is quite clear on this issue. A Brawler does not get Greater Two-Weapon Fighting as a bonus feat - instead, they can make a flurry as a full-round attack as though they had that feat. Furthermore, the flurry is a full-round action consisting of unarmed strikes, close weapons, or monk weapons, but not natural attacks. As a special full-round action, you can't make further attacks after it's done that round*. From the class description:
Through the Brawler's Flurry, the attacks you can make are based on your Base Attack Bonus (which enables more iterative attacks in a full attack) and your Brawler level (which temporarily lets you use Two-Weapon Fighting, Improved TWF, and Greater TWF in your flurry).
Alternatively, you have the option to make a full attack with all of your normal weapons (including unarmed strikes) and your natural weapons together. This is separate from the Brawler's Flurry. On one hand, more attacks means more chances to hit. On the other hand, some of these attacks are weaker and less reliable.
The variety of mature buck personalities have always fascinated me. Of course we as humans are born with various personalities that we often exhibit immediately upon our entrance into this world. But it also takes time to develop our true personality, as the various influences of family, school and personal relationships serve to not only enhance our future individuality, but also to temporarily hold us back from becoming ultimately who we are as an adult. Eventually, the vast majority of us spread our wings and leave the nest to transform into the man or woman we eventually become; no different then development of a mature buck's personality.
Monster brawlers, elusive ghosts and calculated survivalists; we have all seen them! The cool thing is that they each continue to reflect more of their personality the older they become, even if it takes the removal of another buck that was holding them back through domination. During the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of being able to spend a couple dozen opportunities on the phone, in the kitchen or in the living room with John Ozoga discussing one my personal favorite subjects: Mature bucks. John Ozoga is one of the most quoted and authoritative sources for peer reviewed deer research material; research that he gained through his work for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. John has written several incredible books, but his memory is full of many whitetail stories that may most likely never be shared publicly.
One of my favorite stories that John shared with me was about a mature buck that grew to a ripe old age 10-12 years of age within the 1 mile by 1 mile Camp Cusino Wildlife Research Facility in Shingleton, MI. The buck was fairly low in the buck dominance hierarchy while being suppressed by an aggressive monster. Several buck deaths could be blamed on the monster brawler that ruled the enclosure for a short period of time, and most likely to no suprise by anyone the aggressive ruler eventually died from his own wounds. As soon as the dominant buck perished, a subordinate, reclusive monster rose to the rank of the most dominant in the enclosure. The buck didn't fight, but instead rose to his level of dominance by bluffing, posturing and by using his sheer size to intimidate. During his long reign as the Cusino Enclosure Monarch, there were no buck deaths that could be blamed on fighting related injuries.
Although the story may not be exactly how John delivered it to me (my best recollection!), it was one of the most influential buck behavioral insights that I can recall, for my own personal development as a hunter, habitat manager and whitetail author. I finally realized on that day, most likely 15 years ago or more, that individual mature buck personalities are real! And I have found that if they are real and can be recognized, that they can be exploited.
John Ozoga's experience with both passive and aggressive mature buck personalities couldn't have been created without a short-reigned brawling monster. I personally would have loved to have witnessed first hand the incredible fights and displays of power, that resulted in injury or even death to those attempting to establish their rank within the dominance hierarchy.
The end of the story often comes quickly for mature bucks with an aggressive personality, and that unfortunate trait can often easily be taken advantage of by hunters. Bucks with an attitude seem to fall to the temptations of does more easily, seem to have a short memory when it comes to hunter encounters and rarely back down from a fight. During the hunting season of 2004 I was able to spend several days attempting to harvest a mature buck with a serious attitude! He charged me in the dark while snort-wheezing, responded to my own snort wheezes while on stand with an awesome display of snorts, grunts, scrapes and rubs, and finally fell to an arrow while chasing a small herd of does under my stand. Something even better was that the year before I observed him for nearly a 1/2 hour, taking on the oldest and largest buck in the forest. Repeatedly, he was pushed sideways through the brush while attempting to breed the older buck's doe nearby.
