3 How to upgrade from Win Make a new directory on the PC and copy all of the configuration files (.ost) from the C:\Win2020\System folder to this new directory. - Copy the fonts (.tfc) and keyboard drivers (.kbd) to this backup directory. - Double-check that the necessary files have been backed up and then go to control panel, select add/remove programs and uninstall Win Reboot the PC and delete the Win2020 directory from the PC to ensure all files have been removed. Now the PC should be free of any traces of Win2020. Follow the rest of the installation guide but when prompted for a configuration disk point it to the directory created that contains all the files backed up previously. Finally once the installation is done the old Win2020 dongle will require updating. This can be done by running the License update program from the Poliscript Program group icon the start menu. Follow the on-screen instructions, and send the code it generates to Screen. Screen will then produce a code to enable the update and send the new code back. Once in receipt of this new code, enter it into the program then click ok and Poliscript will be ready for use. Please note that some older legacy parallel dongle will not work with Poliscript. Please consult with Screen to confirm if the Win2020 dongle in use is compatible. The first thing to do is to open the help file (F1) and get familiar with the new layout and features of the software before using it. How to install Poliscript If the software has been downloaded from the website please extract the contents to a folder and double-click the setup.exe file to begin the installation. If the software is on a CD please insert it into the CD-ROM drive. The setup process should automatically start unless auto-run is disabled on the PC. If it does not run automatically please browse to the CD-ROM drive and double-click the setup.exe file to begin the installation.
