Hi,

I have managed to get google gears to install with prism by changing
the xpi file as show on a few sites online and it shows up in the Add-
ons but it does not seem to work.

Has anybody got gears to work in prism?

Thanks

john

In what way does it not work? What is the symptom?

Hey guys, I got the same... Google gears appears in addon but doesn't
work... actually it acts like it wasn't installed... For example...
In www.rememberthemilk.com there is a link named "Offline" that do the
following...

if GG is installed, it requests authorization
if not, it shows a message suggesting the installation of gears

even after I got the extension appearing in addons list on Prism when
I click the link I get the "Install Google Gears" message...

Pascal --

Firefox on Windows still understands .xpi files.  All you have to do is drag 'n drop it to Firefox.

Thanks for posting this! I've been trying to get Gears working in Prism for quite a while and this finally did it.
