How to host Google Gears ourselves

Hello,
With the announcement about Google stopping support for Gears, would
it be possible for Google to make available all the binary files
(.msi, .xpi, etc) for us to host the Gears downloads for all users of
our legacy applications ?
Right now, we're having to compile the code on Windows and Mac and
it's apparently not that easy, what with outdated / very sparse
instructions on the web about it.
