Hello,
I will giving a presentation on Connections to the Riverfront
this Thursday, November 10 at the Active Transportation
Committee meeting. I'll have photos from our recent walking tour
along with ideas for creating safe and convenient access to the
riverfront from the downtown and UO campus areas.
You may also be interested in a presentation on Vision Zero in
Sweden and Denmark by city Traffic Engineer Matt Rodrigues at the
same ATC meeting. I've attached the meeting schedule. Please
feel free to forward this to others.

Hello,
I'm leading a walking
tour to assess the potential for better bicycle and walking
connections in the vicinity of the South Bank Path and the
Willamette River between downtown and the Knickerbocker Bridge
including:
+Connecting the
multi-use path under the Ferry St. bridge to 5th Ave.
+Creating a connection
from Alder St. bikeway to the river and 5th Ave.
+Sidewalk improvements
near the Franklin Blvd. millpond
+Assessing the
potential for extending the South Bank path from Autzen to
Knickerbocker bridges
I'm organizing this
tour as a member of the city's Active Transportation Committee
(formerly known as the BPAC, the Bicycle and Pedestrian
Advisory Committee) but anyone who is interested is welcome.
Please feel free to invite others.
