Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks privacy-invasive ads & trackers. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. It upgrades every webpage possible to secure https connections. And it does all this by default.

Brave is available on nearly all desktop computers (Windows, macOS, Linux) and nearly every mobile device (Android and iOS). To get started, simply download the Brave browser for desktop, for Android, or for iOS.

The Brave Browser is available in nearly 160 languages in all, including four different dialects of Chinese. Brave Search is currently available in almost 20 different languages, with support for even more languages on the horizon.

Yes, Brave is completely free to use. Simply download the Brave browser for desktop, for Android, or for iOS to get started. You can also use Brave Search free from any browser at search.brave.com, or set it as your default search engine.

Brave Rewards gives you the option to view first-party, privacy-protecting ads while you browse (these ads are from the Brave Private Ads network). If you choose to view them, you earn BAT, via the Brave Rewards program.

You can keep BAT like any other crypto asset, or use it to tip the content publishers you love. Brave even gives you a secure way to store BAT (and any other crypto asset), with Brave Wallet. And, again, Brave Rewards is a totally optional program.

Brave is available as a fast, free, secure web browser for your mobile devices. Complete with a built-in ad blocker that prevents tracking, and optimized for mobile data and battery life savings. Get the Brave Browser (mobile) for Android or iOS.

Hey Thanks, doxtu, I like it better when it is not opening in another window (like in FF with ctrl-shift-k in Windows) but yes this is what I was looking for since I am a game programmer and wanted to test in this browser. Each browser has a different way to activate the dev tools and I could not find what they were in Brave.
Thanks for the input!

Additional Information:
Just started using Brave yesterday and as a browser it seems great, if could get the BAT side of it working too that would be ideal. Do see that there are a lot of support threads and that sync has been disabled in most recent release so perhaps this issue is related to that one but just opening ticket here so hopefully it can be resolved as doubt this Win10 machine is the only one impacted.

I am having the same problem, have been using for about 2 days and not seen any ads, brave is not showing up in notification section and I tried reinstalling but it did not change anything, brave is showing up in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs but still does not show in notifications

I observed NOD32 simply failed on AMTSO phishing test page at -settings-check-phishing-page/ while using Brave Browser. However the same test page was flagged successfully by NOD32 while on Microsoft Edge (chromium) browser.

Thanks for the helping out and it works. Why can't ESET do this on its own instead of its user had to go through this ? One of the features I love in ESET AV is its exceptional Web Filtering capability and if it doesn't work as consistently across usage scenarios then its a turn off.

I expect ESET to support browsers outside IE11, Edge, Chrome, Firefox as and when they become reasonably popular in use. Browsers like Brave, Opera, Yandex etc probably used by millions combined and we cannot ignore them.

I've recently begun to use the Brave browser ( ) and so far think it's pretty great. On Safari I'm a big fan of the webclipper and would love to see it implemented for Brave as well. Any chance that might happen soon?

Good questions. Evernote integration desperately needed and until it is we cannot use Brave. More people to Brave as it is clear that Mozilla (most surprisingly being an open source project) is manifesting the same "culture" now as Google. Brave can capitalise on this but it needs to be fully fledged

At the moment we do not have any plans to rollout a new web extension for the Brave browser, however, I will talk with my team about this as possibly something for the future. Thanks for your feedback.

I wonder how serious evernote can be about webclipper for Brave, surely this is not a hard task for evernote. What possible reason could there be for the delay. Heck, we are paying enough money each year for Evernote. Better support on this would be welcomed.

I support this as well. I have switched most of my tasks from Safari and Firefox over to Brave. Brave is great for quickly browsing through help forums, blogs, and other generally slow pages owing to lots of ads. But I still have to re-open URLs from Brave in Firefox so I can clip them. This is inconvenient.

I fully second your idea! However, as a workaround, I recently found www.ukeeper.com. There you can create a Bookmarklet (or save the resulting Javascript Code to a new bookmark in Brave browser) to have sent from Brave directly to your mailbox a clutterfree version of any website. From there I use the MailButler plugin for Mac Mail to save the message as Evernote (but you could also simply forward it to your Evernote mail adress, with tags and all the rest).

One more vote here. It seems likely that recent political events will increase interest in privacy all round (not just VPNs). Brave works really, really well, and as more people try it, it will get bigger. As people switch browsers, let's hope they don't also switch to one of Evernote's burgeoning alternatives! The web clipper is pretty crucial part of Evernote....

Sadly many don't know of the benefits of Brave, some may not want to know, but when evernote is essential to life and Brave is the best browser for security and speed, I am BAFFLED at Evernote's reluctance to make a webclipper a priority.

Evernote is my digital brain and it's a must for my research to continue with the necessary speed and accuracy on Brave. Brave is the future of browsing. It's built on the blockchain, which is the platform of the future and it protects the user rather than the advertiser. Please, please please see the wisdom in this investment for development.

Webclipper is an essential tool for keeping with workflow, Brave has the ability to give credit to content from users with cryptocurrency, ether and there might be a way Evernote could see benefits in aligning themselves with this technology.

I just discovered the Brave web browser not too long ago. I think it's great and I've made it my primary browser on Windows and Linux. As a paying Evernote customer I'd sure like to have the web clipper for Brave.

so .... now 2 years later... any response from evernote and a webclipper in sight???
Evernote team .. how many votes is enough ... your users need this!! come on ... I am waitning now for over a year...

I've been almost always using Brave for a month on any device I have (iOS/iPhone/iPad, Mac, and Android smartphone) and I only stopped using it when I needed to webclip to Evernote. Please create a easy to use Evernote webclipper for Brave browser.

Evernote suggest to post here... and has been for over 2 years ... and we waiting for a little stupid plugin ... i am done with evernote ... 100 useless features and a simple extension cant be produced .... WAKE UP ENteam!!!

I gave this process a go and I do get Evernote on the extensions page. I do get an icon, though it is just a light gray box, Evernote is displayed when I hover over it. However, nothing happens when I click on the icon. Has the process changed in the last six months? Thanks.

Thanks. One small issue - I found I had to go to Settings and Allow all cookies to have Clipper work. May be specific to my configuration of things, don't know. But other than that everything seems to work fine..

Important update: I got this working for exactly one time. Then I logged into Evernote and had Evernote remember my login and password. Then Evernote Web Clipper quit working. It would flash a brief message about cookies followed by another message:

Have recently installed Brave Browser (1.46.153) on my Windows 10 (22H2) PC and during the installation process imported various Extensions, including Kaspersky Protection from Chrome. Kaspersky Protection works just find on Chrome, Firefox and Edge. But there seems to be a problem with Brave as the Shield stays greyed out and there is no indication whether search results are "Safe" with the green shield by URL's in search results.
