It can take a little time for your hair to adjust to a new routine and to see the effects of our natural active ingredients. We recommend trialing for about a month and experimenting with how much product you use, how frequently you wash, how long you wait to rinse out the conditioner, and water temperature.
I really loved this shampoo at first, it smells incredible and seemed to do a descent job at cleaning my hair. However after using it for more than 6 months my hair fall dramatically increased and my scalp kept feeling more dry, itchy, brittle. I thought it might be other reasons like stress but someone mentioned to me that the ingredient Coco-Betaine can be very drying for sensitive scalps and cause issues. I think this is the case for me because once I stopped I haven't lost nearly as much hair. Maybe the PH is off too?

Decided to try EcoRoots bar shampoo and conditioner. Why? The products do not contain alcohol which is harmful to one's hair. The packing contains no plastic which is harmful to our environment. This is a win-win in it self. My hair is soft and manageable and there are two less plastic containers to deal with. There is not one reason to not love these products.
As much as I want to love these I have to admit that they are not easy to use. It takes a lot of muscle and water get the conditioner realeased for a full head of hair. The conditioner is great once you work it off.

Yes and no. Some of our colors (especially neons, UVs, and pastels) work best on a pre-lightened base. If you want our signature intense color, we recommend lightening your hair to at least a level 7+ blonde. But we also have colors that give gorgeous colorful tints to dark hair. Each product on our website comes with hair swatches so you can see before and after results on light and dark hair.
If you want to fight the fade for longer, we have color-safe shampoos and conditioners made specifically to maintain our hair colors. Use cool water when shampooing and try to wash hair only once a week (the more you wash, the faster the color fades). We also have dry shampoo to keep your color fresh on days when you skip a wash.

BTMS-50 is a natural, vegetable derived cationic and self-emulsifying conditioner. It is one of the gentlest known conditioning ingredients available with many moisturizing benefits for hair and skin.
Panthenol (Vitamin B5) behaves in some ways more like a protein than a vitamin. When you wash your hair with a product containing panthenol, the vitamin penetrates the hair shaft, and helps to improve moisture retention.
Organic Macadamia Nut Oil's fatty acid content is the real winner for skin and hair. The fatty acids help to add shine, strengthen, and nourish the hair follicles, which in turn fight off hair loss and brittle strands. Macadamia oil is great for calming the hair of frizz, tangles, and dullness.

Directions: Gently massage the conditioner bar into wet hair working downward from roots to tips. Keep out of eyes and leave in hair for 2-4 minutes then rinse thoroughly. Style as usual. Hair will feel soft and manageable and smell amazing. Keep conditioner bar dry between uses for a longer lasting bar.
