I’m writing to seek information about how your office handled complaints against Legal Aid Department (LAD). Please kindly answer the following questions under the Code on Access to Information:
1) How many complaints did the office receive against LAD in the past 10 years? What information is available about these complaints?
2) How does the office handle complaints against LAD?
3) Given that complaints against LAD involve legal issues what expertise does the staff of this office have to deal with the legal issues?
4) What can the office do regarding decisions made by LAD? What are the possible outcomes of processing complaints against LAD?
