Dear Dr WANG,
I refer to your
request of 22.12.2019 concerning the ownership of land lot FSSTL 182.
As explained
by our Miss WAN during the phone conversation on 27.12.2019, you may consider
conducting a land search to obtain a land register of the land lot concerned
via our Integrated Registration Information System (IRIS) Online Service
(website: www.iris.gov.hk)
or by visiting any of our search offices. A land register contains
the property information such as owner’s name and incumbrances registered
against the property. For more information on search procedures,
land register and search fees, please refer to our online information pamphlets
"How to Conduct Searches of Land Records", "Understanding
the Land Register" and "Search and Registration Fees Schedule"
at our website (http://www.landreg.gov.hk/en/public/lrinfo.htm).
The service charge for a land register indicating the current particulars
of a property is HK$10.
Besides, I append
the following Property Reference Numbers (PRNs) for your reference: Land lot:
FSSTL 182
PRN:
C4286303 Land lot:
FSSTL 182 (RP) PRN:
D4723709
If you have any
questions, please contact me at 2867 2707.
Yours sincerely,
(Ms Eva LAU) Access to Information
Officer for Land Registrar
Dear Sir/Madam
A while ago, one of your colleagues called me and told me how to
look up for information on the website. I believe that this is not
the proper way of handling a Code on Access to Information request. I would
prefer a written reply so I can consult later and send to other agencies
for further discussion. Please have a senior official to review the case
and get back to me in writing. Yours sincerely Simon

to the Lands Department for which I have requested for a review as the
department failed to provide the information I need. I hope your department
could provide the information I need under the Code on Access to Information.
The original request is presented here for your reference. Thanks in advance
for your assistance.
I am writing to request a review of the reply from your department dated
21 Aug 2018 evoking clause 1.25 of Code on Access to Information: Any
person who believes that a department has failed to comply with any provision
of the Code may ask the department to review the situation. The target
response times set out in paragraphs 1.16 to 1.19 above also apply to requests
for review. https://www.access.gov.hk/en/codeonacctoinfo/part1.html
I believe that my request should be addressed with more specific instructions
on how to locate the information and should be transferred to other
relevant departments for follow up.

Dear Sir/Madam, I
refer to my email dated July 23. I assume that the Lands Department
would process requests of information following the protocols of Code on
Access to Information even if the code is not mentioned.
While non-Code requests (i.e. requests which do not make specific reference
to the Code or are not made in the specified application form under the
Code) should be handled in the usual manner as they have been dealt with,
they should be considered on the same basis as that applicable to requests
under the Code, i.e. in deciding the release or otherwise of the requested
information, consideration should be given in accordance with the provisions
of the Code. In line with the spirit of the Code, departments should, as
far as possible, adhere to the same target response times specified in
the Code. http://www.access.gov.hk/filemanager/content/codeonacctoinfo/guidelines.pdf
Thanks for your attention.
Yours sincerely
