They’re more than great instructors: The Art and Design faculty at
Parkland College are also great artists. Recent works created by the
faculty will be showcased in the 2009 Parkland College Art and Design
Faculty Exhibition, from August 24 through September 26 at the
Parkland Art Gallery. An artists’ reception on Thursday, August 27,
from 6 to 8 pm in the gallery lounge will offer a great opportunity to
view the faculty’s work, mingle with the artists, and hear Paul Young
talk about his work. Live music by Circle of Friends will round out
the evening’s festivities.

High Noon with the Artist on Thursdays
The following series of educational lectures will coincide with the
exhibit. Faculty from selected areas will discuss their work in more
depth. These lunch-hour lectures begin at noon in the gallery; each
should be about a half an hour in length.
