So I Saw this app on Lifehacker.com I Just recently got a Motorola
Droid.

So I Just installed app Put my credentials in and it tells me login
failed. Ive tried checking google apps acount and unchecked and its
the same error either way. Ive double and triple checked my login
values are correct? Is there anything else I need to look at? or
might there be an issue?

Also Does SSL Matter? I haven't tried it yet.

Try to enter full email address as login.

For shared account you should not select option "This is Google Apps
account" while you create new
account. If you have paid account, you have to select it.

And try to avoid errors when you enter password.

I'm getting the same error. Maybe is because Gdocs does not suppor
special characters in the password? Are they correctly escaped?

I'm having the same problem. My password also has special characters
in it so that could be the issue.
I've tried every combination of check boxes without any luck.

My password has a special character in it, and I do not have a problem logging in. I have a G1.

I'm using CyanogenMod (4.2.14.1 - this is based on Donut) on an HTC
Magic using Rogers in Canada.
Anyone else using CyanogenMod with any luck?

Let me make somethings clear about account settings.

Option "Use secure connection" allows to use HTTPS for data exchange
(loading list of documents, downloading documents & etc.). However,
account authentication always uses secure connection, so this option
does not influence login process.

Option "This is Google Apps account" allows to use paid accounts. If
you use paid account you have to use your full email address as login
name.

Option "This is default account" allows to define application start-up
account if you use several.

I built new version with different login process. You can try it here:
http://www.gdocs.mobi/news/loginfailure

I hope this will solve your problems.

Just fyi - anyone using Google Apps most likely will need the option of use secure connection to use HTTPS for data exchange.  After the recent China attack on Google, the powers that be at Google have decided to push SSL encryption onto all versions of Google Apps - Standard, Partner, Education, and Premier.  New accounts have this on as the default - older accounts need to have the administrator turn this on within the domain management --> general tab (which I highly recommend doing).  If this setting is turned on, then everyone on the Google Apps domain must use SSL to get to their documents.

Now that I've written the above paragraph - all public Google accounts should use it as well - opening documents in a browser now uses https as the default in public Google.  You should do the same on your Android phone as you're going over public networks.

Thanks Im not sure what all changed. But A Few days after writting
this. Everything Magically started working and I didnt change
anything. I just though hey.. Lemme try one more time and see. I Open
the App, and I didnt even have to enter my account info. So what
ever got changed works like a champ.

I do have some Suggestions / Feature requests? I will post that else
where.
