I see this was a problem back around 2010. Well here it is again.

Every document is blank including some important medical info I was tracking for my doctor. Syncing does nothing. Refreshing the account settings does nothing. Long press on the file name gives me the option to upload a blank document but not to download.

In Google Drive, the document contents are visible and editable. Gdocs is blissfully unaware of this. Does no one at Google use their own software?

Gdocs isn't made my Google.

I personally stopped using it when Google released their own mobile version of google docs (they call it Google Drive, if the name throws you off).

Here's a link, hope it helps you!

Interesting. It has come on every phone I've ever had (including stock), I just assumed it was part of Android.

Thanks for the info.

My understanding was this group is for the product: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=art.wild.gdocs&hl=en

Google used to call their product Google Docs, so maybe that was the confusion? They changed it to Google Drive when they started doing some rebranding. Similar to how you might have a stock phone having Google Talk, but then if you upgrade it, it turns into Google Hangouts.

Yeah, probably. My mistake. Perhaps the forum shouldn't be called "GDocs."

Nope, but the app called GDocs which this forum was using was created like in 2008 or 2009 I think - before Google had an Android app to their documents. So GDocs was a 3rd party app to fill the gap. Now it's not really needed.
