Is this still an active project?

Being able to configure a JDBC driver to directly access a Google spreadsheet is exactly what I need for a project I'm working on--for READ-ONLY access.  Before I get too excited about it I noticed the last download is fro 2010.  Is it something that is being actively used?  Is there another option people are using instead?

No it is not being actively used :).  As far as I can remember it's not
even something I've tested for production use.  I'm not sure what other
people are doing but I'm guessing not many users are trying to do this.

Well, that's too bad. It's a terrific idea that simply needs some
promotion. Compared to 2010, I would think gdocs are much more
popular--and for many operating systems, having a JDBC connection to a
spreadsheet is valuable. I know it would be for me right now since .csv
files don't handle foreign languages very well--if at all. From what
I've read, UNICODE isn't accepted there, and when you save a spreadsheet
in unicode format it comes without field separators.

I would tend to agree - its a really neat idea.

We have started using google sheets over Excel and I can see that there will be a need to have a good JDBC driver for a google sheet in the same way you can with Excel.

I forked this from google and added oauth2 for service accounts - seems to work ok. I have a use case for it - so I am going to try it out and see if it works

Is there anyway you can pop that up on github or something? I'm really interested in expanding on this project.
